Reigning American League MVP Josh Hamilton is out for 6-8 weeks because of a broken bone in his right arm. He won’t be able to even swing a bat for at least a month.

Hamilton broke the bone sliding headfirst into home plate in Detroit yesterday. Then, he blamed the injury on his 3rd base coach.

Guess what? That is the worst possible way to handle this situation. Even if Hamilton has a serious issue about being sent home by his base coach on the play, how on God’s green earth does it make sense to communicate this to him through the media? Good thing Texas is off to a hot start. They’ll need a large margin for error now.
