Urban Meyer is a complex man.

After experiencing acute chest pains that he feared could lead to lethal heart trouble, he quit his head coaching job at Florida in 2009. Then, he re-hired himself.

Then he quit again again, and left Florida. This time it wasn’t his heart, it was his desire to spend more time with his family.

Family, I hope you enjoyed your year. The man named after a pope is back in the saddle, baby. He’s Ohio State’s new 6-million-dollar man.

And one more thing. OSU is Oregon State. Not Ohio State, not Oklahoma State. I will not argue this.

It’s not a Hail Mary play, just to clarify. But it’s still a bile sandwich for the Badgers and their faithful, two weeks in a row. Texas Rangers fans and Wisconsin fans should probably start holding meet-ups for support groups. You will get through this. It will pass.

Ohio State is vacating all of its wins from the 2010 season, including their January 2011 Sugar Bowl win over Arkansas.

This move by the school is the latest attempt to self-impose punishment amidst an ongoing NCAA investigation into rules violations committed by Buckeye players, and a subsequent cover-up by former head coach Jim Tressel.

Terrelle Pryor may be driving on a suspended license.

He also probably violated NCAA rules in obtaining his car.

You already know about his former coach.

The good times keep on rolling in Columbus. NCAA violations and half-season suspensions of players and coaches aren’t enough, apparently.

Linebacker Dorian Bell has been suspended for the entire 2011 season.

Unspecified team rules were broken, leading to the punishment, according to the Buckeyes.

The NCAA says Ohio State head football coach Jim Tressel lied when he told NCAA investigators that all NCAA violations had been reported by Tressel to Ohio State.

Whoops.

Mike Adras is the head men’s basketball coach at Northern Arizona University. In the final coach’s poll of the NCAA basketball season, Adras did not vote for UConn, winners of the NCAA national championship tournament. Adras instead voted for Ohio State as the number one team, despite the fact that Ohio State was eliminated in the 4th round of the tournament. Coach Adras joined Robert in Hour 3. After Ohio State was eliminated in the Sweet Sixteen by Kentucky, Jared Sullinger said he’d be back at school next year, despite being a projected top-five pick in the NBA Draft. Jared Sullinger is unquestionably the best player on the Ohio State basketball team. And he’s coming back.

The freshman was named a first team All-American yesterday

Former NFL great and Heisman Trophy winner Eddie George joined Robert today. Robert got Eddie – an Ohio State alum – to weigh in on the scandal surrounding Buckeyes head coach Jim Tressel. Podcast after the jump.
