Yankees Hall of Famer Yogi Berra has been taken to a hospital in an ambulance. Berra reportedly fell in the clubhouse during a Yankees spring training game against the Philadelphia Phillies. New York General Manager Brian Cashman said Berra did not hit his head, and was in good spirits after the fall. Berra did not want to go to the hospital, according to Cashman.
CC Sabathia is a world champion, a baller, and from Vallejo. He is – by all accounts – a tremendous teammate and a leader on the Yankees. He is big and jolly and extremely hard to beat. CC is a wildly appealing athlete.
According to a story in today’s New York Times, CC felt it was time to take his nutrition and conditioning to a new place in preparation for the season. CC says that turning 31 this season makes him more immediately conscious of his longevity as an athlete.
CC has lost 25 pounds. CC has quit his Cap’n Crunch habit. Awesome.
Hall of Fame bound player and manager, Joe Torre talked about not missing Spring Training at all. He also shared a great Tino Martinez story and talked about his ‘Safe At Home Foundation’.
