LA Police have arrested a suspect in the life-threatening beating of a Giants fan at Dodger Stadium on Opening Day. Brian Stowe was apparently jumped without provocation and severely beaten on March 31st. Stowe is still in critical condition.
Bonds spent an hour with Stowe in his hospital room, and left a signed baseball bat for Stowe’s children.
It’s a great day for the human race. In the first meeting of the Giants and Dodgers in San Francisco this season, Giants fans failed to violently retaliate to the beating of a Giants fan at Dodger Stadium earlier this month.
This is a good failure. We as a species have failed – at least temporarily – to act like utter savages.
The Dodgers won the game, 6-1. And your defending World Series Champions keep playing sloppy ball.
