Gay as in happy. I mean, who’s happier (gayer) than Giants fans right now? They just pulled the trigger on the trade for the pennant. Their chances of repeating – which seemed almost as ludicrous as their actually winning of the championship last Fall – are suddenly decent.

This Giants team has thrived on their stellar pitching. But they couldn’t hit water if they fell out of a boat. Kind of like last year’s team that became improbably hot at the most improbable of hours, in the freaking World Series. Now, they have a bat. And a puncher’s chance.
