Ben Lyons is a film critic, which is good work if you can get it. Because when you are a film critic, OTHER people have to do the heavy lifting and make the movie. You, as the critic, enter the process only after the hard work is done. Then, because the public believes your taste to be good – or at least au courant - you get to tell the public whether all the hard work that went INTO the movie was a waste of time.
